Guide · the domain ramp
Reputation belongs to the domain. A receiver that has seen twenty emails from acme.example today does not care which mailbox sent them. So the number is the domain's, and its inboxes share it.
Tools that cap the inbox turn a second mailbox into a second allowance: two inboxes at 20 a day is 40 from the domain. On a domain that is still earning trust, that is the fastest way to lose it. In CraftNudge a domain in week three of the default schedule may send 12 a day, and it may send 12 a day whether it has one inbox or five.
The settings page shows the week's number shared out over the active inboxes, 12 as 6 and 6, so you can see what each inbox is likely to send. What the worker enforces is the domain's 12. If one inbox is quiet, the other may use its share. A quiet inbox cannot lock up the rest of the domain.
Today's count includes every inbox on the domain in the workspace: the ones a campaign does not use, and the ones deactivated since. Sends that already went out still went out. This is what stops a fleet change from handing the allowance back, and it is why an inbox that has sent today cannot be deleted. Pause it instead. Deleting would give its sends back to the others.
A domain that is not on the ramp can still carry a daily cap set on its inboxes. It is shared the same way. If two inboxes on one domain disagree on the number, the lower one wins.
