Google Workspace cold email sending limits, honestly.

Before you scale outreach through Gmail, it is worth knowing what the account will actually allow — and why no software can hand you unlimited delivery, only unlimited pricing.

How many emails can a Google Workspace inbox send per day?

Google Workspace allows up to 2,000 messages a day via the API and around 500 via SMTP, counted over a rolling 24 hours. But that is the ceiling for a trusted, established account — not a target for cold email. For cold outreach, 30 to 50 a day per inbox is the sane range, higher only once the inbox has a long, clean history.

Why does "unlimited" sending software still have limits?

Because the limit lives at Google, not in the tool. Software can decide when and how fast to send; it cannot overrule the mail provider. "Unlimited" should mean the tool does not charge you more as you scale — not that Gmail will deliver any volume you throw at it.

How do people send more than one inbox allows?

They spread volume across several inboxes, often on several domains, sending a modest amount from each. This is why cold email at scale is partly a domain-and-inbox exercise. CraftNudge rotates across the inboxes you attach and keeps each one under its own cap.

What actually gets a domain burned?

Sending too much too soon from a cold inbox, hitting invalid addresses (which is why bounce classification matters), and mailing people who mark you as spam. Reputation is earned slowly and lost quickly. The fix is patience and clean lists, not a bigger send button.

App password or OAuth?

For sending through your own inbox, an app password is the pragmatic choice: you create it, you can revoke it instantly, and it needs 2-Step Verification switched on. CraftNudge uses app passwords for exactly these reasons.

CraftNudge sends within these limits, spreads volume across your inboxes, and shows you the moment Google starts to push back. It will not remove the limits — nothing can — but it will make sure you see the wall before you hit it.
