CraftNudge vs Yet Another Mail Merge: a sending engine against a mail merge.

YAMM sends one merge from a Google Sheet through your Gmail, for a few dollars a month. It is not a cold email engine and does not claim to be. If that is all you need, it wins on price and simplicity. The full split is below.

Where Yet Another Mail Merge wins

  • Price: a few dollars a month, and free for 20 recipients a day.source
  • The simplest possible mail merge. The sheet is the list, the results write back into it, and there is nothing to connect or run.source
  • Distribution: over 16m users and 18,000 reviews on the Workspace Marketplace.
  • A profitable, bootstrapped maker whose mail merge has done one thing since 2011.source

Where CraftNudge wins

  • Everything that makes a cold email engine: automatic sequences with waits, stop on reply, A/B variants, a unified inbox, dedupe across campaigns with a re-contact window, a blocklist by address and domain, and a one-click unsubscribe header.source
  • Caps and ramps at the inbox and at the domain, with a gap and jitter between sends. YAMM sends back to back up to its daily quota.source
  • Any SMTP and IMAP inbox, not only Gmail.source
  • Bounces by DSN code and the raw SMTP response on every send, and an inbox that pauses itself on its bounce rate.source
  • A custom tracking domain, an API, webhooks, and reply notifications by Telegram, email or webhook.source

About Yet Another Mail Merge

YAMM began as a script in 2011, went paid in 2014, and is sold by Talarian, which describes itself as bootstrapped and profitable. YAMM's own revenue is not public. Latka estimates the whole Talarian group at about $3.1m in revenue for 2025, and the founder said $70,000 a month in 2018. About 40 people work across its four products.

Who should not switch

If you send a merge now and then to people who know you, from your own Gmail, YAMM costs almost nothing and there is nothing to learn. Come to CraftNudge when you are sending cold, in sequences, from more than one inbox, and you need the sending paced, capped and stopped on reply without you watching it.
